An incredible 'On Democracy | Sunday' and all new series coming!
Don't miss Simon Rosenberg, Alex Vindman, Mark McEwen, and Rep. Ami Bera joining the best Sunday show in America
Don’t miss this one!
Every week our new Sunday show just gets better and better. This week is no exception. I’ve got two titans of Substack joining the show along with one of the only physicians serving in Congress and a real expert on the Oscar’s too.
If you haven’t caught ‘On Democracy | Sunday’ you’re missing a great show that is designed to directly take on the failing network news shows with a high quality production, nationally known guests, and even a dose of humor to lighten this insane time.
Hopium Chronicles comes to Sunday
I have had the privilege to get to know Simon Rosenberg for the last two years and is truly one of the smartest Democratic strategists, advocates, and writers we’ve got. His Substack, Hopium Chronicles, is one of the best on this platform and I cannot recommend it enough.
I will chat with Simon to catch up on the latest efforts by Democrats to push back against Trump, efforts to retake the Congress, and much more. Be sure to subscribe too!
The Panel
After the guest we host a panel of fascinating people ranging from actors, to comedians, journalists, authors, influencers, and more. The goal is to get behind the curtain a bit and learn about their passions, work, and have a few laughs along the way because it is an insane time.
Tomorrow I welcome long time journalist, health advocate, and stroke survivor Mark McEwen. For over 15 years at CBS, Mark served in a variety of high profile positions, including anchor of CBS This Morning for three years. But, he is perhaps best known as the weatherman and entertainment reporter for The Early Show. After being on the network, Mark moved to Orlando to anchor the local news and spend more time with his family. Mark was at the top of his game when he suffered a stroke. Recovering from that stroke has brought Mark to where he is today…a stroke survivor.
It’s Oscar’s day so we are going to make sure we get his unique perspective.
He will be joined by good friend, and very busy guy lately, Alex Vindman. Alex was a key witness in the first impeachment of Donald J. Trump and went on to be a bestselling author with his first book ‘Here Right Matters’ which is joined this week by his newest one, ‘The Folly of Realism.’
He has been busy all weekend since the debacle at the White House on Friday but will join us to chat about his adventures, latest book, and we have to discuss his star turn on ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm.’
I also highly recommend Alex’s Substack ‘Why it Matters’
The Interview
Dr. Ami Bera is the longest serving Indian American in Congress and one of only a handful of physicians on Capitol Hill. He has represented California’s 6th District since 2013. His committees include the House Foreign Affairs Committee, where he serves as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on East Asia and the Pacific. He is also a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.
He joins me to discuss the games the Republican’s are playing with their budget that will absolutely cut Medicare and Medicaid, the danger of RFK Jr., and the abandoning of science in policy.
The Show
You can join the show live on YouTube and all of my social media channels at 11:00 AM ET/ 8:00 AM PT or wait for me to post it here. We love our growing community of ‘Great American’s’ and would love to have you join the live conversation online.
New Content
This week I will launch a new Substack video series called ‘What‘s Really Going On’ where I will pull the thread on issues we are discussing and try to explain what is the real move being hidden, overlooked by the media, or simply unheard of. We will talk about everything from the real moves being done by DOGE and it’s impacts to the behind the scenes of Democratic politics.
I’ll rely on my growing list of sources from across the country to give you perspectives you won’t find anywhere else. Be sure to subscribe to this Substack and share it with your friends

Fred, I'm a big supporter. But the big issue is treason. Check this out.

I live in a Dem area represented by 3 House MAGATS -- all who can flip. 2 of the 3 had been Dems, as recently as 2020. All are DEI -- Cuban Americans. All say they object to Trump policy re deportations, especially their own people, Venzuelans and Hatians. Ukraine adds to the pressure.
From Axios
Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.), in a text to Axios, said Friday was "a bad day for America's foreign policy."
"Ukraine wants independence, free markets and rule of law. It wants to be part of the West. Russia hates us and our Western values. We should be clear that we stand for freedom," he said.
Rep. Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.), in a post on X, called the meeting "a disaster — especially for Ukraine," adding, "Sadly, the only winner of today is Vladimir Putin.
