It’s a Constitutional Crisis…really
We are there. Like, right now. So, let’s say you’re a Democratic leader and you pledged to not “swing at every pitch” or maybe you said “we can’t react to everything that Trump does” or maybe “we have to wait until the right time.”
I have some advice. DO SOMETHING FOR GOD’S SAKE!
Because, we are so there. We have been for a week or more. For example….this little gem below.
When El Salvadoran dictator Nayib Bukele came to visit the White House the El Salvadoran press flipped their camera on before the press pool arrived. In this choppy video you can hear Trump urging Bukele to build more wings of his torture prison for “home grown” criminals.
But, don’t worry. Bukele says they have plenty of room for U.S. citizens to be illegally deported to a Third World gulag with no due process, no path to release, and likely death.
They are testing out what they can get away with right now.
The flurry of Executive Orders targeting law firms who dared to represent Trump’s opponents.
Two orders to investigate former Administration officials Chris Krebs and Miles Taylor for the sins of disagreeing with Trump.
Declaring National Emergencies about anything to simply go around Congress for everything from immigration to tariffs.
Dismantling Congressionally created agencies and departments like USAID.
Ignoring court orders across the country and calling for impeachment of judges
One man represents it all
The case of Kilmar Abrego García is the true tipping point where Trump ignores the highest court in the nation. It’s now been six days since the Supreme Court ruled upholding a lower court that the government must return Abrego García after he was wrongfully disappeared to El Salvador’s monstrous CECOT.
In that same meeting caught on tape above, Trump flat out said he would not return Abrego García. They are saying that he is now in his home country of El Salvador and it’s up to Bukele.
The flood of lies are astounding from accusations that he was part of MS-13 to now sex trafficking from our own Attorney General. It’s reached a point of ridiculous but it has also reached a point of true crisis.
When the President defies the Supreme Court it is up to Congress to step in and impeach him. That’s literally the system we call checks and balances. It’s the entire construct.
That will not happen with this Republican Congress. They are all in. They absolutely love this stuff. Look no further than this monster right here:
Yes, that’s Rep. Riley Moore of West Virginia getting a selfie with the prisoners in the torture prison. Sidenote, a New York Times investigation found that nearly none of the people that Trump sent to CECOT had criminal records here or anywhere else in the world.
The goal was to make a statement, get the video, and show they are tough.
I think podcast host Brian Allen laid it out perfectly in a passionate post on Twitter this morning:
Kilmar Abrego Garcia was living legally in Maryland under a court-issued Withholding of Removal order.
That means the U.S. government explicitly recognized that deporting him back to El Salvador, where he faced credible threats from gangs, was illegal. He had a work permit. He was building a life here. He testified against gangs to help us. Then the Trump administration grabbed him and quietly deported him anyway.
No court hearing. No due process. No notice to his lawyers. Just yanked from U.S. soil and dumped into a Salvadoran prison that holds the same gang he testified against. A place the U.S. had already admitted was too dangerous for him to be returned to.
When the courts found out, they ordered his return immediately. A Maryland judge said the flight had to turn around. It didn’t. A Supreme Court ruling—unanimous—confirmed the government’s actions were illegal and ordered DHS to facilitate his return.
And guess what? They still haven’t brought him back.
Why? Because he might already be dead. That’s the only reason that makes sense. This administration is stalling, stonewalling, making excuse after excuse—because the one thing they can’t undo is a corpse in a Salvadoran prison.
So let’s be crystal clear: a U.S. resident was illegally deported in defiance of multiple federal court orders, dumped into one of the most violent prisons in the world, and likely murdered under the full watch of the U.S. government. And nobody’s been held accountable.
If that’s not tyranny, what the hell is?
This isn’t just a legal failure—it’s a moral collapse. And every day they delay his return, they’re telling the rest of us that your court orders, your protections, and your life mean nothing if you fall out of political favor.
Blood is on their hands. And they know it.
I share his concern. There is a better than even chance Kilmar is already dead. CECOT is notorious for no one getting out alive. They die from starvation, dehydration, prisoner on prisoner violence, and abuse by the guards.
How about some righteous rage?
So, when does it stop? What are we going to do about it? I would argue that perhaps more can be done by our elected leaders than driving “public sentiment.”
Call shadow hearings, refuse to cooperate with the majority, fly to El Salvador like Senator Van Hollen, demand accountability, be a pain in the ass so they never once forget what they are doing.
For me, it’s time to take to the streets. I will be speaking in St. Louis at a rally downtown this weekend and we are calling on veterans and allies to join us in Washington D.C. on June 6th. We must push our leaders to understand that we aren’t sitting back waiting for our turn to be disappeared to El Salvador.
Because it is coming. Make no mistakes. Trump is telling us he plans to send U.S. citizens to El Salvador. It won’t be the worst of the worst. Because in Trump’s eyes, criticizing him is a high crime.
Many of us who have been targets of MAGA would like more protection than press conferences. Of course, I will take solace standing in that cell with 100 of the worst criminals in Central America knowing that my elected leaders back home are going to push public sentiment to drive down Trump’s popularity.
I’m sure my family will appreciate that.
So, I’ve got that going for me.
Let’s not wait for them anymore.

If the POS told the Salvadorian President to release him, he would. He's just a prick, an evil bastard. And the Supremes said "facilitate" not to make sure that it's done.
