A late call worth taking
Last night at 10:30 my phone started buzzing. My fiance is out of town and I’m a parent of a number of adult children. Late night calls are always exclusively bad things.
This was not one of them.
My attorney Mark Zaid was calling me to let me know that in a surprise evening filing on a Friday disgraced former Army general, and fired National Security Advisor, Mike Flynn had unceremoniously dropped his $150 million federal libel suit against me.
This has lawsuit was filed against me originally over three tweets posted nearly two years before the filing of the lawsuit. They had waited until the statute of limitations was ready to expire and put together a ridiculous lawsuit seeking the outlandish amount of money against me in Federal court in Florida.
I won’t bore you with the details, but I was fortunate to have Mark Zaid and Brad Moss immediately jump into the breach to serve as my pro bono counsel and quickly. hire representation for us in Florida.
We filed a countermotion that got two of the tweets immediately dropped. The first one is that it is common knowledge and settled law that calling someone a “traitor” isn’t grounds for libel. The second because the highly skilled litigators at Binnall Law Group literally misread a tweet that said “Mike Flynn is a foreign agent” to say “Mike Flynn is a Russian agent.”
They even included a screenshot of the dastardly tweet in the case that DIDN’T say that at all!
Amazingly, they updated their filing to reduce it to just one single post that referenced Mr. Flynn being paid by Vladimir Putin. They seemed to feel that post should have said “was” instead of my placement of the word “is.” This monumental error in grammar had somehow cost Mr. Flynn a whopping $150,000,000 in lost work and reputational damage!
Don’t worry. They were going to prove it in court.
Fun fact…here is Flynn shaking Putin’s hand in Moscow. You can read all about it in the Washington Post.
Friends step in
I was blessed that when Mark set up a Go Fund Me to cover all of the costs and fees so many friends and supporters dove in to help. Even more reached out to offer friendship and backing.
One old friend who happened to be a former Air Force fighter pilot called and offered a jewel of wisdom that has carried me this far. After we had talked about the utter baffling idea that they could get that kind of money out of a retired Army officer in a rental home and paid off used car he clarified my situation perfectly.
He said, “There is nothing more dangerous than a man with zero assets, and zero fucks.”
Truer words have rarely been spoken. I told my legal team we would not settle. We would not take any offers to walk away. I wanted to go all the way to court. I wanted to sit across from Flynn at a conference table and hear him in depositions talk about how he earns his money. I wanted to hear how the tense of the word “is” vs. “was” caused one of the most infamous general officers in modern history to have so much reputational and financial damage.
It looks like I won’t get that opportunity.
Figuring it out
We are all a little baffled by what it means for him to drop the case ‘without prejudice’ exactly since he is the one that filed it. The statute of limitations has long passed for the accusations now but we had already filed motions seeking sanctions against the Binnall Law Group for the flood of frivolous lawsuits they have filed against many opponents of Trump, Flynn, Kash Patel, and Rick Grenell.
We are not dropping those motions and will pursue sanctions and fees spent in this waste of time for going on two years.
Once again…I am not done yet.
In the meantime, thank you for your support and backing in this ridiculous experience. When initially filed we were doxxed and another two times after that. The intimidation and threats were ridiculous.
Yet, here I am. Not shutting up. Not walking away.
Zero assets. Zero fucks. Lots of time.

As I mentioned last post, this year I’m focusing my energy and work as an independent media creator and advocate. Like any startup we’re growing and it will take a lot of support. Right now exactly 250 of you Great AmericansTM are paid subscribers for this newsletter. I’d love to grow that so I can keep doing this work and not have to go find a day job.
Congratulations, Fred, on this essential part of the case. Stay steady.
Congratulations!! No one ought to endure such cowardly persecution. I wish you success in efforts to recover damages.
