Hopium is hope with a plan
Simon Rosenberg lays out why we are on the right side of this fight
Late arrival
Sorry this isn’t early. With travel this week we only got this week’s episode in the can as it went out to MeidasTouch this evening. We will be back on schedule again next week!
Having said that…it’s a banger.
You may have first heard of Simon Rosenberg in the lead up to the 2022 midterms as he wildly predicted that the much touted coming ‘Red Wave’ was going to be nothing but a ripple at best. All of the experts and pundits called him foolish and said he was clearly huffing a very large ‘hopium’ stash.
He was right and the Hopium Chronicles were born. Simon made the decision to close down his think tank, NDN, and focus on spreading the word that the progressive movement is winning and to directly fight the negative sentiments beign spread by the MAGA echo chamber.
I’ve been eager to have him on the show and it doesn’t dissapoint. You’ll even get to see us discuss his latest efforts to encourage first day voting to shape elections. It’s a conversation you won’t want to miss.
The Show
Simon Rosenberg
Simon Rosenberg is the producer of the Substack community the ‘Hopium Chronicles’ and was the founder and president of NDN/New Policy Institute, a center-left think tank in Washington, DC. He moved on this year to take his fight for our democracy into a direct mission of motivating and informing Americans on the way we can take back our nation. Simon has been a leader in efforts to modernize the center-left in American politics over the past generation and was the leading voice who predicted the supposed 2022 ‘Red Wave’ would be a crashing failure. He was right. He and Fred discuss why there is good reason to be on the progressive side than the other right now, the importance of voting on the first day of early voting windows, and much more.
I hope you’ll watch the show and share it with your friends. We can fight back and win.
Hallelujah, Fred! You’ve done it once AGAIN. What an awesome hit of hopium, hope with a plan. Great guest. Great show. Great ideas!
