If you thought Trump 1.0 was a disaster you ain't seen nothing yet
Discussing all the lies and the clues to what the future holds with S.V. Dáte
The Red Flags are Flying
If you want to know how bad another Trump term my look this last week has given a lot more clues to the evidence we already have. As I wrote yesterday, his attorneys argued in court that the President should be immune from any crimes he commits if he is not first impeached and convicted by the Senate. Simply put he gets a free pass on all the criming he wants as long as he can keep 35 Senators from voting against him.
Have you seen the Republican Senate lately? It’s a whole ass box of red flags.
We have history on our side to learn from as well. Many reasonable Republicans did join the first Trump Administration to serve their country. I actually had a number of friends do so in spite of my admonitions to them that it would not go their way in the end. I was right for almost all of them. Several have had their reputations permanently tarnished because of their association with monstrous policies and the backstabbing of the MAGA world.
Trump 1.1 is the Clue
The real signs of what lays ahead lie in the list of reprobates and villains that decided to step up to the plate after the election and take up roles as temporary officials even after the violence unfolded on January 6th. Kash Patel, Chris Miller, and so many others will be the characters joining the returns of Mike Flynn, Stephen Miller, and so many more monsters.
Huffington Post senior White House reporter S.V. Dáte watched it all unfold from the front row and even managed to ask Trump if he regretted his years of of lying, which he promptly ignored. He joined me for this weeks show to discuss the insanity unfolding in the court houses and in the campaigns as Trump desperately tries to get back in power and end the legal threats he faces while exacting revenge on those who have questioned him.
This is a great conversation.

There are so many things wrong with a country that would think that any of this is normal. Hindsight is almost always 20/20 so looking back it’s pretty easy to see the pattern being developed by those who would bring us to our knees. It seems as though we’ve made it a habit of taking the easy way out of situations we’ve found ourselves in and along the way, we’ve lost our true sense of self as a country. IMO, the erosion began possibly in Korea but definitely in Viet Nam and come forward to the present. Where did we not try to take the easy way out using our weaponry instead of our brains and diplomacy and in so doing, have we lost our moral authority therefore shortening our lifespan as a Democracy?
Andrew Smith(Goatfury Writes)wrote about the Gordian Knot on Substack today so my comment here is probably colored by that. Sorry Fred but I saw a connection.
gotta love the whole ass box of
“red flags”...
