Birds of a feather

I had the privilege of hosting Jennifer Welch and Angie “Pumps” Sullivan on my show back in July of 2024. They have carved a wide swath through the political conversation with their no holds barred approach to things from their unique place in deep red Oklahoma. We share a lot of common ground and it was a great conversation.

So, it was an absolute joy to join them for an interview this week for IHIP News to discuss my race for Congress in Missouri-2. Tuesday’s results showed us that Democrats are on the march across the country driven by frustration and anger as the reality of a failing democracy, unfair economy, and loss of opportunity for most Americans sinks in.

I am running to fight for working Missourians that are being left behind and ignored. our Representative can’t be bothered to hold townhalls, talk to working people, or even bother to bring money home to the district.

Meanwhile the Republican Doormat Congress has worked a grand total of 20 days in the last 19 weeks as Hegseth orders the military to take out boats in international waters, Trump fights in court to starve Americans, and our White House is dismantled with no oversight, hearings, or even a word of opposition from the Congress.

A spirited conversation

This 18-minute conversation covered a lot of ground from how little representation we have here in the district, the disconnect between Republican’s words and actions, the sickness involved in relishing the murder of other humans, and much more.

We face a critical moment for our nation and our future and I’m running to be part of the solution that lays out a path forward that makes life better for every American and not just a few at the very top.
