On Democracy Sunday debuts tomorrow!
Join us for the pilot episode tomorrow December 1st on YouTube
Time for something new
I’ve been contemplating my next move for some time. I’ve grown increasingly frustrated with the Sunday shows and the silliness you see each week. As is often the case my fiance will say, “why don’t you do it yourself?”
So, I took her suggestion and tomorrow will be the pilot episode debut of On Democracy Sunday! It will be fun, casual, and filled with fascinating people and coversations.
The format will be familiar to many. News of the week followed by a rotating panel of cool people, then interviews with newsmakers, cultural icons, and community leaders who are doing important work for the nation.
Tomorrow we will kick off with panelists Rachel Vindman and Rina Shah. Rachel burst on to the national scene with her husband Alexander but has since carved out her unique voice as an advocate and thought leader. She toured the country and cohosts a podcast with Red, Wine, and Blue during the campaign. Rina Shah was the first Never Trump delegate to the 2016 RNC. Now she is a political strategist and frequent guest on News Nation, CNN, and many more national news shows.
My first interview will be with Steve Schwab who serves as the CEO of the Elizabeth Dole Foundation for Military Caregivers. Steve is currently leading a bipartisan effort to pass the Elizabeth Dole Act through Congress having passed the House two weeks ago and is now before the Senate. The bipartisan bill will improve care deliverty to millions of veterans, their families, and caregivers.
I will speak with the Executive Director, and original dirt road Democrat, Jess Piper. Jess is a force of nature in rural organizing having cut her teeth in northwest Missouri running for the state house in a deeply red district. Today she leads Blue Missouri raising funds to support Democratic candidates across the state.
In between we will have some laughs, talk about everything from the news to Hallmark movies or whatever else comes up. We would love to have you join us on the On Democracy Podcast YouTube channel or my social networks.

I hope you’ll join us and subscribe to On Democracy now!
Can’t wait to watch it! As always, thank you for fighting to protect democracy. Clearly, that has been your life long mission.
I stopped watching the Sunday “Talk” Shows a long time ago. There’s been little news that’s been substantive there since Tim Russert left right before the 2016 election.
Now, it’s nothing but geriatric white men spewing right wing talking points.
Welcome to the opposition! I’d love to see real talk to replace that tired model.
