What happens when leopards get hungry

It appears Arizona has been called giving Donald Trump all of the battleground states in a clean sweep. It is a shocking twist to an already shocking week and turn of events. As I wrote yesterday I am not going to indulge in finger pointing or division in the Democratic Coalition.

I’m not saying we don’t have to figure it out and figure it out fast. What I am saying is that our opponents are going to move quickly because they believe they now have a mandate to do everything on their maniacal wish list from deporting millions to bringing back prayer in the schools and every crazy thing in the middle.

They are going to get a chance to do it all. But one thing I know about the MAGA movement is that they cannot stop themselves from over reaching and going over the top in every single thing. So, a lot of people are going to find out what they voted for.

Leopards always get hungry

This week I posted a thread about what it will look like when that leopard they’ve been riding gets hungry. We all know the meme now that appears to have originated with this tweet back in 2015.

It’s become a bit of an idiom about dangerous movements in the world that people will ride that leopard in hopes that it eats them last. But that’s not really how it works. The thing about leopards is that eventually they will eat you too.

Here in the United States the people that voted for Trump are going to find out that a hungry leopard eats a lot of things that they didn’t think were on the list even before it gets to them. Perhaps it’s your favorite local Mexican restaurant closing because the nice family who owns it is getting deported or arrested because of the undocumented immigrants that ran the kitchen. You thought they were some of the…you know… “good ones.”

Trump and Miller are going to want big numbers fast in their mass deportation plan. They will turn to DHS and other agencies to get it done. Where do you suppose they will turn? A meticulous process of hunting down the “thousands” of alleged criminals that are off the books or will they just open up the immigration databases?

Anyone that’s ever worked in government knows a bureaucracy follows the easiest path. So, it will be the good people who applied for asylum and are waiting for hearings. The folks who came illegally but are trying to get right with the system and have dutifully registered for green cards. What about those Haitians filling thousands of jobs in Springfield, Ohio that are here under a special waiver?

That’s when companies will start failing and business groups start howling. Then it will be the price of produce skyrocketing even before the warm and fuzzy coded “soft sided” camps are built as immigrants flee for their own safety.

They want a national abortion ban. It might be your daughter dying of sepsis because the lawyers feel it’s too risky to perform that DNC. The laws are just vague enough that it’s just too “risky” while there is still a fetal heartbeat.

Kids going to college? No more FAFSA student loans and grants for your kids because you didn’t know that was part of the Department of Education. After all you just wanted to get rid of that ‘evil’ Title IX you heard about that makes your daughter share a locker room with a ‘man.’ You had no idea it meant that same daughter could never afford college at all.

But the good news is she can work in a factory as they roll back worker safety and child labor laws across the country in that mandate to “reduce onerous government regulations!” You thought it was stupid stuff like mandating what kind of caps they put on jars, not working 14 hour shifts in a chemical plants with no safety rules.

All of those ‘Veterans for Trump’ having their benefits cut because they rolled back the PACT Act as too expensive, having their disability ratings re-evaluated and cut, only seeing the VA for specific illnesses and injuries related to your service and not that cancer you got in your 50’s. Nope, you’re going to need private health insurance for that. But…good luck because they got rid of the ACA and that cancer, that wasn’t from your service, is a pre-existing condition soooo….well….

That factory in town they broke ground on last year that was going to build computer chips and employ your family never breaking ground because of the repeal of the CHIPs and Science Act.

How about the construction of that bridge that was going to cut your commute in half being canceled because of the repeal of the Infrastructure Act. After all, you were told there wasn’t any “real” infrastructure in that bill. Your Republican governor said he was building that bridge.

That sweet government job that you’ve loved after retiring from the Army. It’s your dream because you can work 8-hours a day, get 30 days vacation a year, and fish on the weekends on your boat in Alabama has been slated for a Schedule F replacement slot because it controls funding for contracts that will go to Republican donors. So you’re fired without cause or any union protections.

It doesn’t make sense because you were told that it was only going to be “Deep State” spies that have infiltrated the government and donated to Democrats and Libtards! You’re one of the good ones!

Just watch, they’ll blame Biden or the local Democrats probably. But, be sure to remind your MAGA friends that it will be fine because surely they heard that Elon promised it would be uncomfortable at first but it will get better. Y

They were just so sure it would be uncomfortable for…you know…”those people.” Not them.

But that’s leopards for you. They eat whatever is available. Now…everything is available. That’s what happens when you join the Leopards Eating People’s Faces Party!

We’ll keep the light on

I have little doubt there is going to be a whole wave of buyer’s remorse. Our job will be to educate them and make sure they understand which leopard it is that is eating them. It will be hard. The network they’ve built to lie is vast and growing. Elon Musk has declared he wants X/Twitter to be the go to source for “conservative news.”

I will be doing my part by writing more and building a coalition of like minded democracy advocates and truth tellers. I’ve been talking to a number of folks who are interested in banding together to keep the light of liberty glowing.

Someone literally set up an account on Twitter this week dedicated to attacking me and my fiancè. As is often the case they got 90% of their attacks wrong like I retired from the Army as a “failed Major.” I was actually a failed Lt. Colonel, thank you very much! The funniest accusation was that I can’t quit Twitter because I will lose all of that revenue.

Folks…I’ve never made a dime from Twitter. I make money from my podcast on MeidasTouch and my consulting work…and here. That’s it. There isn’t some pile of millions that I’m raking in no matter how many times these idiots think so. I sure has hell didn’t make “millions” from Lincoln Project that I left over three years ago as a lowly staffer.

It’s all exhausting.
