Donald Trump's DOJ confirms most of the Venezuelans sent to El Salvador are not TdA gang members or criminals at all and they don't care

$6 Million for El Salvador to brutally abuse innocent people

This weekend the Trump Administration defied a judge’s order and sent some 250 Venezuelans and others to be jailed in El Salvador’s notorious Center for Terrorism Confinement, or Cecot as its known. The brutal prison has already become known for its inhumane conditions and housing the worst of the worst of Central American criminals.

Now, we are sending innocent people there and paying for them to be abused.

The government itself admits in court filings that the majority of those sent hadn’t committed a single crime in the United States at all. They claim they were “associated” with Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan prison gang.

That is a lie. The overwhelming majority are clearly just innocent people whose only crime was coming to the United States for a better life.

Look at this picture of their arrival in the prison. I want you to understand that your government is paying for that picture and it’s all based on lies.

Venezuelans deported to El Salvador arrive at Cecot

Here is the United States government literally saying that while the majority haven’t committed any crimes at all they really have the vibe that they might so that’s good enough to send them into a torture dungeon with no due process at all.

They have said in numerous filings and statements from movie villain Tom Homan and others that the supposed “association” is nothing more than having tattoos. Literally, of anything.

Reuters has the story of what we are really talking about when they say “association with TdA:

Anyelo had told his sister on Friday night that he would be deported to Venezuela, she said in a phone interview with Reuters from Texas.

Solanyer said her brother had been detained on January 31 after an appointment at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office. He had crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally with Solanyer and another sister in November 2023 and had been released to pursue a claim for asylum.

Solanyer said an ICE officer told her that her brother was detained because of a tattoo that linked him to Tren de Aragua, a violent gang with Venezuelan prison origins that has spread through the Americas. She said the tattoo depicted a rose and that he had gotten it in a tattoo parlor in Dallas.

"He thought it looked cool, looked nice, it didn't have any other significance," she said, stressing that he is not a gang member.

He isn’t the only one.

Johanny Sanchez, 22, suspects her husband Franco Caraballo, 26, who was detained in Texas, could now be in El Salvador, but does not know for sure.

Caraballo had multiple tattoos including ones of roses, a clock with this daughter's birth time, a lion and a shaving razor, said his wife.

"I've never seen him without hair, so I haven't recognized him in the photos," she said. "I just suspect he's there because of the tattoos that he has and right now any Venezuelan man with tattoos is assumed to be a gang member", she added, citing also the fact that he has effectively gone missing.

Sanchez said her husband has never been a member of Tren de Aragua.

Trump just wants the numbers and video

This isn’t actually about who is innocent or guilty. Trump has made it his mission to deport millions upon millions of illegal immigrants even if they don’t exist. Because, they don’t. This is all about made up numbers and fake crime waves. We are literally governing based on right wing memes.

Why is TdA this monstrous threat that is dangerous enough to invoke the Alien Enemies Act, a law that has only been used three times, all during actual wars? Because, the MAGA propaganda machine needed an enemy and one short video provided it.

This short clip led to a massive coordinated propaganda effort by Trump, Vance, Fox News, and their many many collaborators to convince the nation that whole swaths of America had fallen under the dangerous Venezuelan gang.

They all targeted Aurora as the epicenter with the story growing from an apartment floor, to an entire apartment complex, to the entire city being a crime ridden hell hole overwhelmed by latino gang members.

Every single part of that is bullshit. Now we are invoking an 18th century law to fight this completely made up threat.

That’s not to say TdA isn’t dangerous. All of these gangs are growing emboldened and dangerous like their counterpart, MS-13, members of whom were also allegedly deported in the same operation to El Salvador. But, we aren’t being fed the truth about their numbers or activities.

While eagerly pursuing his made up numbers Trump and his Administration are scooping up anyone who they can even remotely tie to gangs for even a single tattoo. It’s ridiculous but more importantly, incredibly dangerous to the rule of law.

It’s all about the pictures and video

Fascists are all about the optics and Donald Trump and his collaborators are no different. What more evidence do you need than this disgusting statement from White House SpokesBarbie, Karoline Leavitt.

When asked about the shocking scenes this was her reply.

Self deport or be featured in one of these “fun videos.”

She says “fun” and then smiles. She loves her little joke about humans being abused.

I noticed she’s not wearing her usual giant cross. It must have been burning her skin.

Back to my main point. You’re paying for it and when asked about the idea that many of these people sent to Cecot probably aren’t gang members or criminals at all this is what Lil Marco Rubio had to say.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Monday that U.S. law enforcement authorities had spent the better part of a year assembling a roster of known gang members. All the people deported to El Salvador had been on that list, he said.

"If one of them turns out not to be, then they're just illegally in our country, and the Salvadorans can then deport them to Venezuela," Rubio said.

See the evil? We are paying El Salvador at least $6 million to torture these deportees and now the United States government is leaving it up to them to decide if they are innocent or not.

How do you think that will go?

The fact that this evil is being done in our name is the sickest twist of all and anyone who was angry about the CIA black sites or outrages at Abu Ghraib needs to understand that this is larger in scale and substantially more evil because our government knows these people are innocent and doesn’t care.
