Well ironically, I was just under 10 when that came out. My parents could not get a ‘sitter’ so we three kids piled into the back of the station wagon with our sleeping bags and pillows. We were told ‘GO TO SLEEP’. By the middle of the movie there were 5 pairs of eyes watching…never will I forget that film.

I appreciate your Substack and I remember that movie as well. When we unite we can change this. My wife and I have joined the maydaymovementusa.org in their efforts. We will be staying on The National Mall in DC 24/7 until the end of August or longer if necessary to achieve our singular goal which is to lobby enough representatives to support Rep. Thanedar's articles of impeachment and then Impeach, Convict and Remove Trump from office.

Please check us out and come to DC and join us if you can, or if you can't consider helping us with financial support . The site has people young and old staying in campsites outside town, coming in every day for their shifts. They are dedicated, powerful, articulate, organized and motivated to get this done.

We can do this and we must do this. In just the first 60 hours we took more than 350 people up to the Capital offices to lobby their representatives directly. The power of the people is greater than the people in power! Thank you!

The Russians are Coming was filmed on California’s Mendocino Coast, where I lived for a decade. Various people in the town of Fort Bragg could point to themselves in the movie. I was 12 when the movie came out, and I desperately wanted to be that babysitter! 😆

I have to dig each time a large weather pattern rolls around. There are no dates listed in many articles and film files are from 2023 to years ago. Use caution when reading about weather conditions, forecasts and damage. ru is a cesspool and the current administration will attempt to bring our country to a non functioning conclusion. This conclusions intent to make our nation in all ways identical to ru. Let us consider this administration will allow mother nature to do her worst and make no effort to assist us in cleaning up afterwards. Every nuance of our lives will be used as a means to weaken. Be certain that prayers are power. We may not have a functioning weather forecast system but as of today we still have the ability to pray. Shortwave radio. I’m on the water and prepping. Good recovery to St. Louis. You give hope every time you write to us. One gives what one has. Good recovery Sir.

I was fairly young when The Russians Are Coming came out, I recall watching it with my father, a former Army Russian Linguist, a handful of years later. To this day it is still one of my favorites. More importantly, it is very likely the reason I followed in my father's footsteps and became a Navy Russian Linguist.
