Everyone recognizes how bad it is to go now 17 days without a House Speaker so the Republicans are taking the weekend off. They’re incapable of governing. Will voters get the message finally amidst all of the noise? Let’s discuss this mess!
I agree with everybody that the current situation is just utterly batshit in a way that has no historical parallels, but I do see a ray of light in all of this. The last few weeks have been blindingly clear in regards to the difference between the two parties. Pelosi and her +5 majority passed 300 bipartisan bills, these morons can't pick a speaker. Biden is laying out clearly America's leadership position in the world in regards to both Israel and Ukraine, Trump complements Hezbollah. It's all up in everyone's face and I don't see them acting less crazy anytime soon. Add to that the long tale of 1001 indictments that will be playing out over the next few months, and maybe Biden won't even need to spend that $91 million on adds. The Republicans will be a living campaign commercial for his re-election.
It’s obvious the GOP continues to insist the Democrats are the source of all that is evil. There is no remorse or regret for their actions or for the destruction they have caused. There may be a few of these people who are fit to represent their districts, but most are not fit. Most need to be charged with insurrection. Some are outright traitors. They have no solutions other than playing “Can you top this?”.
I agree that everyone that follows the Medias Touch Network can see how bad this is. Unfortunately, there are way too many people in the legacy media that would rather perpetuate the old media model. These people can still influence the low information viewers. Keep up your great work. It's the work you guys do, holding the corporate media's feet to the fire, that can affect change.
We are lucky to be here on Substack with so many great contributors who elevate the conversation on politics. Fred is one of my sources along with several others here. To say that I look forward to reading the likes of Fred, Greg Olear, Jeff Tiedrich, Joyce Vance, Heather Cox Richardson would be an understatement. I feel that with their help and words, I am clearer in my mind about all the crises that are swirling around us. I would add to my Substack subscriptions some excellent YouTube subscriptions you may want to check out if you have time.
Meidas Touch is great for getting into the nut of any legal matter and god knows, we are hearing an awful lot of legal matters now. Meidas apparently caught the fact that trumps website still had a message that Judge Engoran had told trump to take down three weeks ago. Meidas and another YouTube channel I can highly recommend for accurate news and information is Beau of the Fifth Column. Brian Taylor Cohen is another very good source for solid information. It’s difficult staying ahead of all that is happening but maybe these suggestions will help.

THEY have only themselves to blame for the mess THEY created. First it takes 15 rounds to elect McCarthy and he agrees to a single person motion to vacate which bites him in the ass and now they can't seem to agree on leadership. I would think deep down in that quagmire of a party they could find a sensible, not MAGA riddled or bat shit crazy Republican that everyone could agree on but they would rather blame the Democrats.....really?
They are intentionally pushing this cart down the road so as to bring it up against the shutdown deadline and try to then pressure the Dems to cave on things so that they can get their fascistic addenda though or then say that it was the Dem's that shut down the government. They are acting like drunk magicians that are trying to hide a dead rabbit.... while everyone is watching them...
The first concern is our national security and our support of our allies is national security. The second concern is the deliberate contemptuous behavior of 200 people who were entrusted to serve.

YUGE Dem opportunity to flip GOP Congressional members. There are 5 who voted to certify the election who also won in districts Biden won. The 5 who voted against Jordan too. Simply promise DNC support for reelection with a dollar figure attached for 2024. They will do ANYTHING to keep their jobs. Flip house control! Let’s face it, honor and integrity are words foreign to House GOP members. First movers get big advantages too.
