Nailed it with this one. Pun fully intended. I like this chunk from Paul Musgrave's newsletter:

"Conceding the foreign aid fight without even considering contesting it is a terrible move—D.C. brain at its worst. Being afraid to stand up for foreign aid will let the worst impulses of isolationism win, and for the worst possible reasons and in the worst possible way with the most dire consequences for the beneficiaries of aid at home and abroad. If you can’t fight for starving kids, you shouldn’t be in politics; if you can’t fight for American workers, you shouldn’t be in American politics."

Listening to those fools is what has killed the Progressive movement and slowly turned us into Neocon Lite. They don't know their asses from the hole that they're trying to bury us in...

Now ONWARD - DEFENDING HUMAN RIGHTS and what is STILL GREAT ABOUT AMERICA! 😉💙🗽🌻🦋

It’s not the only hill but it is important to stand up for its existence!!

It is good to stand up to Trump and Musk , who wants starving children to starve. We are doing a good job of calling DC. I CALL EVERY day , 3 and 4 senators aday. I call that little weasel Mike Johnson every day but now cannot get through to Capital. They have shut down phones. 1,500 CALLS A MINUTE IS what they are getting, but is working. The Congress is calling White House to complain, so good, good The weasel is still lying just like all the REp.

I had much the same reaction when I read that article in Politico. Yes, there's always some truth in the need to be smart about picking the right battle, but it was all too "cute" and nitpicking nonsense while we're getting a nail pounded into our head.

We are losing our way of life. We are losing the respect and goodwill of our allies, neighbors, and the rest of the world. If we don’t stop trump, vance, musk, and the MAGA Republican Party, we will not have a country and our freedom any longer. America can not become a dictatorship. trump has cowed the press. Freedom of the press (newspapers and television news) is a thing of the past. Those billionaire owners are cowards. We The People are not cowards. We will resist and we will win!

Please Interview Mike Turner.

Elon Musk’s Enemy, USAID, Was Investigating Starlink’s Contracts in Ukraine.

"The Lever reported Tuesday that USAID’s inspector general was in the process of investigating its own public-private partnership between Musk’s Starlink and the Ukrainian government at the time that the billionaire’s DOGE crippled the agency. Publicly available information about that probe is still online. An announcement from last May reads: “The USAID Office of Inspector General, Inspections and Evaluations Division, is initiating an inspection of USAID’s oversight of Starlink satellite terminals provided to the Government of Ukraine. Our objectives are to determine how (1) the Government of Ukraine used the USAID-provided Starlink terminals, and (2) USAID monitored the Government of Ukraine’s use of USAID-provided Starlink terminals.”

"Musk has called the agency “evil” and a “criminal organization,” though the fact that USAID was investigating the Starlink activities may suggest ulterior motivations for the billionaire’s vitriol. It’s unclear what the Starlink probe’s status is right now."

Republican Rep. Mike Turner of Ohio was removed from his position atop the powerful House Intelligence Committee on Wednesday, telling CBS News that House Speaker Mike Johnson fired him, citing "concerns from Mar-a-Lago."

Also interview other House Republicans like Brian Fitzpatrick, and members of the Foreign Affairs Committee, like my rep, Elvira Salazar. ,

Musk did not want the event investigated. He lied about it. Also something strange about thr FAA BEING dismissed and plane crash killing 67 people next day. Not enough Traffic controllers on duty.

Holy moly.

Jamie Raskin wants to file a class action on behalf of everybody who has data.....

In addition to this exposure, Musk apparently has been committing his own foreign policy. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy0l3wl76gzo

Excellent read. Agree. Time to cut loose from the likes of Axelrod, Emanuel and Carville. They are still living there, Long gone, glory days. Time for a clearer messaging and proper perspective with facts. MOST important, stopping, in any way possible, the brazen and illegal forward march of Musk and Trump. It’s to the point of whatever it takes. TIME for the Democratic Party to embrace new leaders and an a new strategy.

That may be so but this world has changed and certainly not for the better. Mrs Pelosi was a fantastic Speaker but her time is passed. The world of 2025 is not 1987. Democrats have a full stable of talented legislators who are willing to do the work necessary to take on this fight and communicate effectively.
