I truly cannot fathom why any voter in your district would not welcome your respect, your fighting spirit, and support your agenda, your values, and your authenticity.
What fascists, etc. always do is pick on the people who are fewest in number and blame them for everything, pick on those that have very little ability to stand up to them........to defect away from themselves the horrible people they are and all the bad things that they are doing to everyone. I remember once reading a Dear Abby piece "the way to tell the character of others is to watch how they treat those that cannot do them any good". Redistricting is the same, stomp on the ability of others to have any say, and remove them from any voice or vote.....courtesy of the Confederate States of America and the Confederate Roberts 6 and the Billionaires who want us all under their thumb forever! One answer - a MASSIVE voter turnout, like happened in Hungary, no matter what the Republicans pull and let them know your time is up and you will not get away with it......
I don't mean to get all Marxiavellian here, but the older I get, the clearer it all seems that this is a case of a wealthy man in a room with 100 cookies taking 99 of them, and then pointing to the working class man, warning "Hey! That Poor is about to take your cookie!".
Straight-up basic human autonomy, decency and rights are sliced off of the rump of context and turned into the next flag to fight over in the great war.
The culture battles are not real. The victims are real, but the grievance is constructed. Scratch beneath the skin and it's invariably the guy with 99 cookies telling us the war is real... because so long as we believe, we're not going to notice he's breaking off pieces of our sole communal cookie for himself.
Mr Wellman, I almost completely agree with you. Everyone should leave everyone else alone. You cited the Declaration of Independence, which was imperfect until we applied ourselves to improving it. You cited freedom, parental rights, and privacy, which you correctly say conservatives generally advocate. (You did not mention small government, which they also tend to advocate.) And in that they claim to be originalists, they should adopt the First Amendment, which says that you can have any religious beliefs you want, but you can't impose them on other people.
Where I disagree with you are two places. One is transsexualism in minors. In almost every jurisdiction, we agree that minors are too immature and don't have enough perspective to be sexually active. Right now, there's an intense movement to release the Epstein files. And no one is going to excuse the perpetrators if the teenaged girls weren't complaining. Everyone is sexually active. It's a normal impulse. But no one can know what it's like to be someone else, and certainly not what it's like, and what it feels like, to have different genes, hormones, and upbringing. So I'm opposed to transsexualism in minors. Once they're not minors, they can get nose jobs, face lifts, breast augmentation or reduction, or the various adjustments that approximate the gender they're not. I revert to agreeing with you that everyone else should mind his or her own business.
The related issue is male-to-female transsexuals and competitive sports. In various higher level sports, it's common that winners get tested for PED, and if those are found, winners get disqualified. What if someone's whole childhood included being awash in PED? Larger stature, bigger muscles, etc. Isn't that disqualifying?
Yes! And now with this stupid gerrymandering… I’m anxious to cast my ballot for you.
"I start from a very simple place. Just leave people the hell alone and let them live their lives,”
This.
Wonderful answers, Fred.

I don't get it. Why focus on people who are maybe 1% of the population? They spend so much time and energy on something that is not an issue at all.
Fascists always pick on the most vulnerable to start create their narrative.
Keep on fighting!!
You're a Gem Fred, thanks for being YOU! Thanks for posting this!! <3

Thank you, Fred. I’ve contributed to your campaign. 💙
Fp Wellman standing up for democracy, thanks
Best wishes to you, Fred Wellman (from a Canadian who follows your progress). I believe you.

Harry Truman would do the same.
How do I unsubscribe? I have a terminal illness?
Yes agree. Whats happening? Why all this follow everywhere?
