Yes, we always assumed the president could not provide a blanket security clearance until a criminal and terrorist was elected. How many laws has Trump broken in the last 60 years? Too many to count. Where is he? In prison? No. Committing crimes as the most powerful man in the world. When you have an insurrection on video, steal classified documents and disseminate them, commission fake electors, commit tax/bank fraud and rape women with impunity, it’s hard to imagine he can’t bypass this law. Especially when he was reelected when everyone knew he was a complete moron and criminal. Since GOP Congress are terrified of the very monster they created, what’s to stop him? Federal judges? Doesn’t Trump own the SCOTUS?
Trump was able to delay justice for decades. We only need to use our justice system to delay his unconstitutional actions for less than 2 years. Giving up is not an option.
All the lawsuits in the world aren't going to stop these criminals in time to save all the information they are screwing with. Who is actually going to stop them? Judges are judging and saying they ha e to stop, but they are still i n there.
Good post - I hope they can round up these thieves that were working with musk and impound their computers. Find out what they’ve been discussing and what they’ve been doing, and hopefully they’ll find some things to lock them up for a long time.
So good to know Fred. I knew that since Democrats are not in power, they were sort of limited in what they could really do so the shock and awe did work. But no more than the D Day invasion happened 10 days after Pearl, I feel that our legislators had to be allowed to get their shit together while outside groups filed their lawsuits as we had been assured would happen. That Musk moved to do his damage over the weekend was a huge blow. Who’s in DC on the weekends anyway? This isn’t to say that Jeffries and Schumer haven’t been a huge disappointment; they certainly have. We do get those who can be effective communicators out front with some hard-hitting points and social media posts. Also, Democrats need to mirror our founders with the firm belief of all hanging together or surely hanging separately. Follow Mitch’s hard-nosed playbook when his bunch was out of power. If we can’t do that, then we are all screwed.
As a person who is not an attorney, judge or SCOTUS, can someone address whether Trump‘s corrupt/installed SCOTUS can overturn the rulings of federal judges regarding the cases mentioned in this Substack? If so, we have already been living in a dictatorship for two weeks.
We have all been flooding our elected officials with complaints.
We also need to flood the White House Oversight Committee's website with whistle blower complaints

Worthwhile to remember that Rumsfeld’s “shock and awe” looked good initially and then turned to crap as it became clear there was no actual strategy. Similar story here; the KEY is citizens need to engage their elected officials AND themselves.

Sure looks like a COUP to me even more clearly on 6 Feb. 2025. I weep for my country of birth and fear fascism is creeping ever more closely here in Europe, too. Resist. Accountability through law suits.... fine, but it's surely RIGHT NOW, TODAY, that there should be ongoing peaceful demonstrations in the streets. This is a COUP from within, no doubt about it.
