Hi Fred. I just gotta say: Hell Yeah ! Stay in the fight! Us oldsters need to share with the younger crew that hard times and losing aren’t the end of the story, just part of it. Hard stuff is hard. And achievement doesn’t happen without busting your ass, learning from your losses, and working smart.
Thank you so much for your work. I find your words and your way of delivering the message critically inspiring. Thank you. We all gotta remember: you don’t get to the top of the mountain without taking every step that’s necessary, even when the trail gets faint or scary and the conditions suck. Head on a swivel, mind focused, work as a team, and never never give up.
Thank you for your service Fred! I worked for the Army as a civilian at Fort Leonard Wood, 1976-2014, with a few years out of that to another Fed workplace. I loved my Army "family" & all the diversity & values instilled. I hope for better outcome down the road & you are right, need to regroup, strategize & overcome. I love my country & democracy. Too much mis/disinformation competing with truth. When his voters start having pain from his actions & can attribute it to him (not Dems) then they might turn on him. 🙏🏼🇺🇸
Thank you for your service, Fred. It is so NOT COOL that Sargent Bone Spurs will be our President. It is a gut punch to know half the country are miserable racists. The morning after i learned that he won, i stressed so much that i fainted, fell & and hurt myself. Was not able to function much i felt so grieved. Just today i’m finally starting to catch up on a normal day. I know that you and others who have served must be way more aggrieved than I am. Half the country honors what you guys did for us, anyway. Too bad in our later years we have to have that 🍊creature in our faces every day. Thank goodness we can know there’s honorable fellas like yourself that cared about we Americans. We have your back. Thank you so much. 🇺🇸☺️💜
I turn the news off or the radio off when I see he who must not be named’s face or hear his voice. I am grateful for those who bear witness and document his nonsense and lawlessness. I will read this newsletter, thank you Fred, and thank you for your service. My dad served in Korea after the signing of the armistice. My uncle served during the Korean War. I also will continue to read HeatherCox Richardson and others like Lucian Truscott, Robert Reich, Joyce Vance and Robert Hubbell in order to digest the happenings. I just cannot stand nor can I stomach to witness it firsthand.
Thank you for your service Fred. You have gone above and beyond the call of duty. Enjoy your drinks! p.s. I used to wait tables at a bar located on the seediest street in Lynn, so I get the Lynn reference.
Thjank you for your sacrifices, you lost buddies, and family, but mostly thank you for your military service and afterwards for your continued service to your community of Patriots, and the many organizations that you have founded or have been a part of. I'm really glad thart I found you. Happiest of Veteran's Day.
I'm tired of endless takes about what "went wrong" by those with a vested interest in "their"narrative
I'm tired of the "savior syndrome" that believes someone will save us: Mueller, Smith, Biden, Harris..."someone new"
It's us...the movement won't be funded by billionaires, directed by useless 7-figure strategists, led by clueless Democratic leadership...it will be built from the ground up...like the Civil Rights movement.
Maybe a "New Deal 2.0"...I don't know, but incrementalism and hazy centrism are DOA.
It will be a generational movement because there are no easy or quick answers.
I've written a little piece about veterans, when the spotlight turns elsewhere and they are left to fend for themselves. It's as long a tradition as America, and most countries, have done with their Veterans - applaud them when it is beneficial, and chase them off when they are no fun anymore. Over here. https://open.substack.com/pub/steveocally/p/veterans-day?r=1f0n92&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
Fred, thank you for your service. From a concerned Canadian.
One more way to be of service to your country is to stop this election fraud!!
Please, nobody really expects a lifelong conman to play the most consequential election of his life straight, do they?
He quite obviously cheated and everyone is so busy turning on each other to even notice that they were robbed!
Sorry to post this on your Veterans Day post but people need to call their local election officials and demand hand recount audits. Especially in the swing states.
Don’t assume that someone else is doing it. You’re someone, and your vote matters so make sure.

Excuse me for not being thankful today.

Excellent post.
