What's the name of the guy who writes the comic strip "Dilbert?" He's the guy who said he checked his neighborhood to make sure there weren't many Black's living nearby because "...they're SO violent.." As if ALL the violence people in America are Black and everyone else; well, they're just: ... tryna defend themselves (poor things)... Their violence is never violence because it's actually "self defense" VP Pence repeated that BS just the other day to defend that "poor (white) man" who was just tryna to protect himself (poor thing)
In fourth grade, my teacher told us that our rights end where someone else’s begin. It’s probably never been entirely true, but in this environment, the person with the most lethal firepower has the rights, at least in that person’s mind. You can’t teach civics and expect little Johnny to take it seriously when he’s daydreaming about getting his hands on an AR-15. “Thou Shalt Not Kill” has been relegated to the dustbin as well. Republican “values” are destroying our country.
A depressing--but very accurate--description of our increasingly dystopian and violent society, Mr. Wellman.
We have to stop this
Perhaps ammunition control? The Chris Rock solution, i.e., $1k per bullet? Yes, I’m looking to a comedian for answers, because I’m at a loss.
That “I feel threatened “ line is so often used by the police as well.

You made way too many accurate points today Fred.
We do.
And it’s largely due to grooming.

We have a large swath of our society that wants to kill.
Right. That bunch of “proud boys” on trial now is an excellent example of American bloodlust.
