And there was a recent Republican Voting Strategy recording which talks about how limiting the vote to just the one day and such will help them in battleground states. I don't know were I heard it, but it was in the last few days.
I grew up in all-white, rural Oregon. All white faces on our 3 channels of TV. All white voices on the 2 radio stations. I thought about Blacks & Latinos the way Jim Crow America had been teaching Whites to think about them since the Civil War. I was an ignorant dumbass.
But that was 50 years ago. We get 50 channels of TV now. Most of us have a dozen other sources of info we didn't have in 1980. Ain't no ignorance anymore. What we hear here is self-selected, murderous bigotry.
The Racist Signal is still there, still as strong, but with the Noise of all of those 50+ channels distracting people, that does NOT mean that the Original Racist Signal is now gone... It's just hiding in the Background noise and believe me, The Racist Signal IS getting stronger...
Apparently the person who recorded the racist cops and gave it to the McCurtain Gazette-News did the recording 'illegally' so Sherriffs office is saying they'll be charged with a felony.
