I’m a huge history buff, but I always found it shameful that we were taught “World History” from the American perspective and how we may have contributed rather than giving credit or shame where it was due. As one example, it wasn’t until I was in the military that I learned there were other allied troops in Korea and Vietnam fighting (or policing) alongside U.S. forces.
As we’ve learned, history has often been written by the victors or those who had been blessed with education (often the religious).
I’m glad to hear that someone has come forward to interject some truth into some longstanding propaganda.
