All new Too Late to Cancel!
Our goal at TLTC is to be your Sunday morning news and entertainment destination! We talk about current events but have a few laughs on the way along with what’s happening in culture and beyond. You can have a depressing time watching the cable Sunday shows or join us and have some fun.
This week is no exception. I first had to check in with TLTC Youth Correspondent Kyler Messenger from the road in Indiana after the NFL draft, kids losing visas, and Nancy Mace being a bigot on Main.
We were joined by the brilliant fighter Sheria Smith, the President of American Federation of Government Employees Local 252 representing hundreds of Department of Education employees as the entire system is dismantled. She lays out the damage that’s already been done and what they are doing while we are distracted.
The Panel was a hundred laughs look at our current politics and culture with comedians Lisandra Vazquez and Lace Larabee. You know them both from their childless cat lady video they did for J.D. Vance last year. Lately Lisandra has been blowing up the internet with her daily press updates as Karoline Leavitt in recent weeks. Lace was a semi-finalist on America’s Got Talent Season 17 but is also the founder of a comedy school in Atlanta and much more. We talk about it all and that weird breakdown with Simon Cowell.
Then I had a fascinating conversation with Angelo Carusone the President of Media Matters for America. They are the nonprofit outfit tracking right wing propaganda and the MAGA movement. We went deep on how they are clearly rolling out Project 2025 and what might break the fever finally.
You don’t want to miss this one!

This week I spoke with Heather Williams, president of the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC), to discuss their success this year already, what’s next, and how you can get in the fight. Heather drives the national strategy to win state legislative majorities. Under her decisive leadership, the DLCC has transformed into an organization with the structure, skills, capacity, and budget to help Democrats gain 10 new majorities, nine new trifectas, and hundreds of legislative seats. With over 14 years at the DLCC, including key roles from Director of Financial Services to COO and Executive Director, Heather has shaped the organization into a powerhouse in Democratic politics – helping state Democrats to set a new foundation of power in the states and a critical firewall against Trump’s second term.
