Too Late to Cancel with NYC Comptroller Brad Lander and comedians Jason Salmon and Amanda Gail

An engaging show with an exclusive with NYC Comptroller and Mayoral Candidate Brad Lander and break from the insanity with comedians Jason Salmon and Amanda Gail

City Problems are National Problems

When New York City Comptroller Brad Lander got detained by ICE this week while escorting an immigrant to an asylum hearing it showed just how far they are willing to go to meet Stephen Miller’s daily quota of arrests. They are waiting to scoop up anyone even those who are trying to do the right thing.

New York is a city of immigrants still today. He has been stepping up as a friend of the court when the masked ICE agents barrelled in.

Lander is no stranger to getting in the fight for his city from the early 1990’s he has been fighting for affordable housing for all city residents including his 12 years on City Council and now as the top oversight official. He’s taking that goal of competent leadership, affordable living, and support for all of the city’s diverse residents into his run for mayor with election day just two days away.

He and I share St. Louis roots and he’s still a Cardinals fan all these years later. We had a chance to talk about midwestern values, competent leadership, and how the Trump Administration won’t leave anyone untouched so we need leaders who aren’t afraid to stand up to him in an exclusive TLTC interview today.

Texas and Hoboken

Jason Salmon and Amanda Gail are both New York (and Hoboken) based comedians with very different roots. She is a product of New Jersey and he is one of Texas and that sensibility from both carries into their humor and writing.

We talked about their work, how we all should know and celebrate Juneteenth, and living as stereotypes of our people on another great Panel.

Catch us every Sunday at 11:00 am ET/8:00 am PT each week.
