It’s a crazy time but we don’t cancel
I have had the most insane week even beyond the usual stuff with what’s happening in the country. As you know I flew into D.C. to participate in the Unite for Veterans, Unite for America rally that I was privileged to be one of the organizers for.
My fellow veterans and teammates put together an incredible event and the Dropkick Murphys brought down the house with their new songs and classics. I got to hang out with the coolest folks and so many of you joined us.
The Department of Veterans Affairs official spokesman said we were a union group and would do more for veterans if we supported their plans to fire 83,000 of the employees. We aren’t…and we won’t.
Apparently, the White House said we were “fake veterans” too. Which was news to me and my buddies who all served in combat and many of us over 20 years of service. They want us to be scared of them.
We aren’t.
Plus, it was fun. After Ken Casey of Dropkick Murphs came off stage I grabbed him for a picture and said, “Look at this…two short fuckers at the Capitol!”
No rest for you
I’m trying to take a short break with my kids and grandkids but the world never lets up does it? Last night the President decided to nationalize 2,000 National Guard troops against the wishes of the Governor of California. Now they are arriving to what has always been peaceful streets.
Fox News has been playing this video on repeat to show how bad it is but we are hearing reports its actually the police that set the car on fire with an errant flash bang grenade. But, it’s just so comically stupid as the announcers breathlessly ask “WHERE ARE THE POLICE?” as the shot pans out to about 25 police cars sitting right there and an empty donut shop parking lot.
Needless to say, it’s not an insurrection. It’s not a burning city. It’s peaceful protests and these clowns are aching to declare an emergency. Don’t give it to them. Don’t give them the violence they want.
Too Late to Cancel
We had an amazing live show today too! We dove headfirst into the political fray with a guest who's no stranger to a tough fight. Shawn Harris, the retired Army Brigadier General taking on Marjorie Taylor Greene for a second time in Georgia's 14th District.
Then we had great guests bringing the laughs and sharp takes to the panel with the hilarious Kenice Mobley and the multi-talented comedian and Army veteran Katie Robinson.
It was all you want in a lively and unfiltered conversation that's always Too Late to Cancel.
Join us every Sunday right here at 11:00 AM ET/8:00 AM PT.
Thank you
